How to verify a NIN online
- Create a free Amana Internet account and fund your wallet.
- Open NIN Verification from your dashboard.
- Choose Verify with NIN or Verify with Phone Number.
- Submit and review the returned name, date of birth, gender, address and photograph.
- Download the Regular, Improved or Premium slip as a PDF if you need a printed copy.

What a verified record shows
- Full name exactly as held by NIMC
- Date of birth and gender
- Photograph, where the record holds one
- Registered address and tracking ID, where returned
- The 11-digit NIN itself, useful for phone lookups
Verified records are stored in your history, so reprints and repeat checks do not need a fresh provider lookup.
If the details are wrong or the record is blocked
A verification only reflects what NIMC holds. Wrong name, date of birth, gender, phone number or address is fixed through a NIN modification request.
A record stuck under investigation needs IPE clearance, and a record that has never been validated needs NIN validation. Both can be submitted from your dashboard and tracked by NIN or reference.
