NIN Validation & IPE Guide

NIN Validation and IPE Clearance Explained (and How to Request Both)

If your NIN is rejected by a bank, telco or portal, the record is usually either unvalidated or stuck in the IPE queue. Here is the difference between the two, what each one costs, and how to submit and track a request.

    How to request NIN validation

    1. Sign in to Amana Internet and fund your wallet.
    2. Open NIN Validation on your dashboard.
    3. Pick the validation type that matches what the institution asked for — each one shows its price.
    4. Enter your 11-digit NIN and submit.
    5. Track the status with your NIN or the request reference.

Validation requests are not refundable once accepted, so check your NIN and the chosen type before confirming.

    How to request IPE clearance

    1. Open NIN IPE Clearance on your dashboard.
    2. Enter the tracking ID from your NIMC enrolment slip.
    3. Confirm the charge and submit the request.
    4. Check the status with the tracking ID until it is cleared.

If an IPE request fails or is rejected, the fee is returned to your wallet automatically.

Common reasons a NIN is rejected

    • The enrolment is still pending at NIMC, so the record cannot be read.
    • Name or date of birth on the NIN does not match the bank or SIM record.
    • The record was captured without a photograph or with incomplete details.
    • The wrong NIN was typed — always confirm with a verification lookup first.
